Born in Pasadena California, Dr. Volmert was raised in Sierra Madre and Arcadia. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from The University of California at Irvine. She then attended Western University of Health Sciences where she earned her degree in Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Volmert completed a one year hospital internship in Portland Oregon then two more years of family medicine hospital and out patient care training in Montclair California at Doctor’ s Hospital of Montclair. After postgraduate training and board certification in family medicine and osteopathic medicine, Dr. Volmert went to work in the community clinic setting. She worked for four years at the Laguna Beach Community Clinic and two years at Arroyo Vista Family Health Center in Highland Park. Currently Dr. Volmert lives in Sierra Madre, and has a private practice in Pasadena. She is a member of the Pasadena, Sierra Madre and Arcadia Chambers of Commerce. She serves on the Alverno High School Alumni Committee, and is director of the West Coast Tides Osteopathic Medicine Study Group. |
